ABOUT Amy Hodder, CHHP

Would you like to be the best you that you can possibly be?

I am not like a lot of holistic healers out there. I don't have some grand story about holistic health methods save my life or anything like that.  I am just an average girl with an average life.  I grew up the way most of us grew up in the 70s and 80s—big hair and all—eating the Standard American Diet. My biggest vice has always been, and still is, white potato anything.  These habits and behaviors followed me throughout school and into my adult life. There was a lack of physical activity, over-indulgences daily in sugar, excessive amounts of refined carbs, and comfort food. I would go through bouts of intense “resolutions” to lose weight and change, and after a few days of pushing myself too hard with exercise and dieting, I’d burn out, binge, and be right back where I started.  I was miserable, and most of all I hated my body, and myself. I was negative, self-loathing, and unhealthy. After a lousy day, I would plop in front of the TV to eat, numbing myself with food.  Turns out, there are consequences to this sort of behavior.

I was exhausted all time. My joints were sore. And my mind was so foggy I couldn’t focus on anything. Worst of all...I felt like a fraud. I thought I had failed my dream of being a holistic healer. Despite all of my training, I missed something very important. I had more than 40 years of toxins, both physical and energetic, in me and I hadn’t done the work that I would ask of my clients to get healthy.  Physically, my body was full of inflammation and starved for some very necessary nutrients.  Energetically, I was holding onto the frustration, competitiveness, and an absolute lack of support that I had felt plagued by my entire life.

Remember the definition of wellness..
"A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being,
not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

Then I became a "well-educated empty nester" with nothing to do, which was a blessing in disguise. I was absolutely at the lowest of lows, feeling worthless and like the biggest failure. As I wallowed on, something inside me woke up and I decided that this mindset was ridiculous. I knew I needed to change myself in order to change my life, but I had been reluctant to do so for the sheer effort it would take.

Then, I just got started. My life changed: I decided to begin taking a bit of time each day and give some loving attention to my body. But, I am not a spring chicken anymore, so the pounds didn’t just fall off. Finally, I decided that I was alright with that.  It was more important to me how I felt than how I looked.  Even so, I realized that I am worth the effort it is taking to change myself physically and emotionally!  But, I was ready to change even more.

Now, I have lots of energy.  I feel physically and emotionally well.  My weight is starting to balance without really even trying. My journey is teaching me more than I could ever learn through books (but to be honest, I read a lot of books, too!). I know through personal experience how transformational making small changes over time can be, and I want more than anything to help you reach the same joy and success in your journey.

My top goals were boosting my immune system, detoxifying my body, eating better and finding emotional stability.  Amy was able to help me work toward these goals by assigning and working with me during full body cleanse.  She guided me in healthier and tasty food choices.  She also worked with me to find the root of my emotional problems.  The most significant change I have noticed since starting my on health journey with Amy has been sleeping better!  I have a much smaller appetite with a fullness once I have eaten.  I am feeling more stable and balanced in my life.  Amy is exceptional!  She has helped me turn my life into exactly what I had hoped for.  I have confidence that she is more than capable to help you turn your life around, too.  Visit her as soon as possible!  Start your journey with Amy and be as happy as I am with the changes you see!  She is amazingly professional and I got unbelievable amazing results while working with her. -Caitlyn A.

I worked with Amy to clean up my diet, get healthy, and feel better about myself.  She suggested foods that are both delicious and healthy for me.  She suggested cleanses to detoxify my body (which worked great) and helped me figure out what my priorities/goals really are and helped me figure out ways to achieve them.  Since I started working with her, I have been surprised at how much more energy I have and how much better and happier I feel overall!  Amy is kind, smart, motivated,  and helpful.  She really knows her stuff and is truly dedicated to turning you into the person you want to be!  I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a positive change in their life whether it be physically, mentally or spiritually.  Amy is the best!! -Chris H.

In working with Amy, my top three goals were to conquer my anxiety attacks, alleviate my back pain and alleviate my leg pain.  Amy was bale to help me work toward these goals by teaching me to deep breath.  She also suggested supplements to alleviate anxiety and provided me with craniosacral therapy and deep tissue massage.  She taught me stretches to help alleviate pain and just taught me to think differently.  The most significant change I have noticed since starting on my health journey has been the ability to control my anxiety attacks and the relief of pain after every treatment.  I would describe Amy as:  FABULOUS!  AMAZING!  Caring! and a great listener who always looks at the whole picture that is me, not just my current complaint.  I would recommend her to everybody!!  Amy, thank you for everything you've done for me and continue to do.  I wish I could afford to visit daily.  You are my safe place! —Kelly M.
